Film Kitchen Shorts Contest 2026
Call for Artists: Pittsburgh Film Kitchen Short Film Contest
Pittsburgh Film Kitchen, the longest-running showcase series dedicated to local film and video artists, is now accepting submissions for its annual themed short film contest. The theme for 2026 is: The Moon.
Filmmakers are encouraged to submit narrative, documentary, experimental, or animated works that explore the moon as a thematic element. All entries must be under four minutes in length.
Submission Deadline: June 15, 2026
Screening Date: June 24, 2026 (see below for details)
Location: Parkway Theater, McKees Rocks
Selected finalists will be screened during a special Pittsburgh Film Kitchen. Awards will be presented for the top films, and attendees will also have the opportunity to win door prizes throughout the evening.
